Privacy policy

This explains what we collect when you use Moment of Melody, why, and who helps us handle it. We only use your information to make and deliver your song and to run the service. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Your answers: the recipient's name, the occasion, style, memories and any message you write.
- Your email address, to send your order confirmation and song link.
- Order details: the lyrics, the song file and whether it's been paid for.
- Payment information is collected and held by Stripe. We see that a payment was made, but never your full card number.
- Basic technical data, such as your IP address, used briefly to stop abuse (for example, too many songs started in an hour) and kept for no more than a day.
- Anonymous usage statistics through Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you.
While you answer the questions, your answers are also saved in your own browser so you don't lose them if the page reloads. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies.
Who helps us
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- OpenAI writes the lyrics from your answers.
- fal.ai produces the music from the lyrics.
- Vercel hosts the website and stores song files; Upstash stores order records.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Stripe processes payments.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep order records and lyrics for 12 months so your song page keeps working, then they're deleted automatically. Song files may be kept longer so shared links keep working, unless you ask us to delete them. Payment records are kept by Stripe for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your order and song early. Email contact@momentofmelody.com with your order number.
Children
Moment of Melody is for adults buying songs as gifts. It isn't intended for children under 16 to use.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.
